USAID cuts send pro-US opposition in country of Georgia into crisis

The Trump administration’s decision to gut the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and axe foreign aid has sent the anti-government opposition in the south Caucasus country of Georgia into crisis. American funding has long played a central role in sustaining the large network of non-profit and civil society organizations seeking to drive out the current ruling authorities for failing to adopt a decisively anti-Russian line.

For months, forces opposed to the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party have been protesting in the country’s capital city, Tbilisi. Their central demand has been the nullification of last October’s parliamentary elections, which delivered a majority to GD. Insisting that the vote was rigged, a claim for which no proof has been provided, they demand that the parliamentary vote be re-run so as to get the outcome they wish. These demonstrations followed on the heels of last spring’s anti-government protests, which centered around the GD government’s passage of a “foreign agents law.”

In the various waves of demonstrations, virulently anti-Russian, pro-EU, pro-US and pro-Ukrainian slogans have predominated. Crude banners directed against Putin have come alongside calls for “democracy,” “human rights” and the “European way”—the stock in trade of right-wing forces hoping to ingratiate themselves with the imperialist powers and vacuum up a few bits, however measly, from what falls off the table of the big players in the capitalist system.

The EU’s and Washington’s full backing for Israel’s war of extermination against the Palestinians has not caused Georgia’s opposition to skip a beat. And social and economic issues that impact the vast majority of the population have never found a place in this allegedly popular movement. In recent weeks, hundreds of Georgian miners have been staging protests in the capital against layoffs and unpaid wages. They have not, however, rallied behind the anti-government opposition.

The Trump administration’s attack on the post-war order is unmooring the pro-US and pro-EU layers in Georgia and across the post-Soviet sphere. Regardless of whether or not the White House successfully cuts a deal with the Putin government over the Ukraine war, Trump’s willingness to abandon Kiev and pursue such an agreement over the opposition of the EU powers signals the torching of the US’ longstanding alliance with Europe and the foreign policy that had long-cemented these ties—a ferociously anti-Russian line covered over with hollow babble about “defending freedom.”

For decades, the US has been meddling in Georgia and all the former Soviet countries with the express purpose of bringing to power governments that are avowedly hostile to Moscow. An entire social layer has been cultivated on this basis, and it is now at sea.

The axing of American imperialism’s soft power money through the shutting down of USAID has “left many of Georgia’s civil society actors reeling,” notes a March 10 article on the website Civil.ge, a pro-opposition news outlet. “Most programs that supported civil society engagement with governance are now shuttered,” it adds, resulting in the loss of about 2,000 jobs.

In an admission of the close relationship between Western funding and those on Georgia’s streets demanding that the government give up power, the author laments that “the fines they get almost daily from the police for closing traffic will feel much more painful to them.”

The volumes of money in question are not small, particularly for a country with a population of just 3.7 million and an annual GDP only slightly over $30 billion. According to a March 8 article on the website GEOPolitics titled, “As USAID Dies, Many of Georgia’s ‘Vibrant’ CSOs Face Extinction,” the size of US expenditures relative to the number of people in the country is so large that Georgia “has been one of the largest per capita recipients of US Assistance.” Between 2012 and 2023 American overseas development money spent on the tiny south Caucasus nation amounted to $1.92 billion.

USAID, next to the US State Department, is the primary administrator of these monies, according to the official website ForeignAssistance.gov. Not a single dime is spent on poverty or human welfare.

Of all the money delivered in 2023—$149,075,515—just two grants totaling $22,161 are identified as having to do with “Health,” and the explicit purpose of one of them is listed as “redacted.” A few hundred thousand dollars are dedicated to supporting things like English classes, teacher training and environmental protection. There was, however, $4500 allotted to something having to do with the racialist, gender-obsessed post modernist sociologist bell hooks (who for some reason also rejects basic English grammar and does not capitalize the first letter of either of her names). One program having to do with to “gender-based violence” had a balance of -$50.

The top recipient of US State Department money is the “Foreign Military Financing Program,” which got $35,000,000 followed by USAID’s “Promoting Rule of Law in Georgia.” It received $8,990,900. What then comes is a laundry list of imperialist “soft power” operations dressed up with words like “self governance,” “information integrity” and “civic education.” For instance, the USAID Civic Education Program, which received $2,700,000 in 2023, is described as follows: “The purpose of the USAID Civic Education Program is to use civic education to prepare the next generation of Georgians to be civically engaged and know and exercise their democratic rights and responsibilities.” Translated into plain speak, this means funding anti-government movement.

The Georgian website GEOPolitics, which is run by the Gnomon Wise Research Institute (another outfit funded by US and European sources), explains that even when US money has been allotted to initiatives to be undertaken by the Georgian government itself, the non-governmental “civil society” community is at the center of these efforts. Washington uses employees from USAID-sponsored Georgian NGOs to implement the policies dictated to the Georgian government.

The halt of the flood of foreign aid money has left the country’s opposition demoralized. “After a hundred days of nonstop street protest, the winter of Georgian discontent fails to bear fruit,” observed Jaba Devdariani on the news outlet Civil.ge early last month. According to him, activists are walking away from the protests and even, it seems, leaving Georgia, a fact that reveals something about the socio-economic position of layers within the core of the anti-government opposition, as the vast majority of people do not have the money to decamp from their native land because they are politically depressed.

The ruling Georgian Dream party has praised the cuts to USAID and Trump’s attacks on the “deep state.” It is moving forward with attempts to tighten the political screws and further consolidate power by passing legislation banning opposition parties, placing further limits on the media, increasing fines and detention times for protesters and introducing treason into the country’s criminal code.

The government has also revised its “foreign agents law” to make it identical to the US’ 1938 Foreign Agents Registration Act. The closeness of the two laws has created something of a problem for the opposition because it reveals the fact that the anti-democratic measures of the Georgian government are entirely in keeping with the policies of the American state. They have dealt with the issue by claiming that Georgia’s version is much worse than the US’.

Politically, the central issue is that Trump’s policies, domestic and foreign, have caused the mask to fall off. The “American way”—the peace, prosperity, and human rights promised to the former Soviet masses after the Stalinist bureaucrats dissolved the USSR and restored capitalism—has come to naught.

It is, and will become ever-more, difficult to appeal to popular frustrations over the Georgian government’s policies on the basis of the claim that there is some sort of global, democratic spirit floating in the ether, calling out for the Georgian people. The world’s oldest democracy is crushing dissent, kidnapping and detaining critics and deporting immigrants guilty of no crime to El Salvador’s most brutal prison. All of this is rubber-stamped by the Supreme Court and unopposed by the Democrats.

Despite the blow that it has experienced, Georgia’s opposition is not done seeking the support of their American benefactor. The country’s leading oppositionist, former Georgian president and top French diplomat Salome Zurabishvili, was invited to attend Donald Trump’s inauguration in January. On the sidelines of the event, she met with now Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Zurabishvili was overcome with praise for the would-be dictator in the White House at an event sponsored by the Atlantic Council on January 21, the same day that Trump was issuing decrees gutting civil rights and preparing the mass firing of federal workers.

“I think that the America that he [Donald Trump] is describing, and the foreign policy of America that he is describing as of a strong America… America that is effective and active in action—that is the America that Georgia certainly needs,” Zurabishvili said.

In Washington, the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee, just approved the MEGOBARI Act with bipartisan support. The bill asserts American support for “democracy” in Georgia and targets the current government in Tbilisi.

Speaking on March 10 to Civil.ge, Tamara Chergoleishvili of the newly-formed Federalists, a “staunchly pro-US party” according to Civil.ge, berated oppositionists for “panicking” and counseled patience in the search for a new arrangement with the White House.

Politically, there is nothing holding back the Georgian opposition from allying itself with Donald Trump. Their commitment to democratic principles runs none too deep. Writing on March 24 in Civil.ge, Nina Gabritchidze opined that it was time for the opposition to give up its demand for the re-running of the last parliamentary elections, as it should not be under any obligation to recognize the result should it go against them.

“So, does the call for a new election imply that a vote—fair or not—can legitimize oppression? Should it be decided by a simple majority whether one still deserves to be treated as a human being? Should you quietly accept it if 51% of the voters decide—willingly or under pressure—to sacrifice your entire existence for a vague populist agenda?”

In short, based on the a priori assertion that voters’ will cannot find reflection in the balloting, there is no need for elections at all.

The immediate fate of the south Caucasus country, and the region as whole, in the present, rapidly shifting geopolitical situation remains to be seen. Will the Georgian opposition be completely cast aside by the White House as part of its scheming? Will the European powers pick up those who have been tossed overboard? Will Washington, having disciplined its Georgian subordinates, pivot and place them once again on the dole? Or will it simply mow them down in the drive to war against China and everyone else?

For all the talk on both sides of the political equation in Georgia about securing the country’s “freedom,” “interests” and “independence,” no such thing is possible in the world imperialist order, much less under the present circumstances. The dissolution of the USSR, of which Georgia was a part, by the Stalinists in 1991 opened up this country and the entire post-Soviet sphere to the predations of the leading capitalist powers. Georgia has been preyed upon ever since, an endless objection of machinations and scheming by the US and Europe.

Only a united struggle of the global working class against capitalism will resolve on a progressive basis the fate of Georgia and the planet.

Comment The CIA have got very fat and very rich meddling in Russia and Ukraine. Western masses remain oblivious of the danger. Trump is not free to assert reason and honesty. The U.K and EU have become evern more dangerous than the U.S in their empire building and efforts to shake down the most poweful nuclear armed nation in the world.

Russia faces war for their national survival against the greed, hypcrisy and propaganda of the west – where 3% of the population own 62% of global wealth, propping up third world dictators for command of natural resources.

The U.S consumes more of the world’s natiral resources than the rest of the world combined. The global elite create more green house gasses than the rest of the world population combined. Their hedonistic hypocritical sanctiminious life sty;le means that they always want more and can never have enough. They feed off a system designed to create mass ignorance, bigotry, poverty and religious mania.

NATO’s War in Ukraine before moving on back into Russia, is vital to their plans. Too much has been invested in this war for the Western ruling elite to back down. Russia cannot be allowed to win in Ukraine. NATO, CIA and MI6 spent a lot of time and money setting this all up. The elite do not care how many men die fighting for a western capitalist cause that has nothing to do with their freedom or democracy. It is the EU and U.K who are rigging EU and East European elections. It is not Russia. Their masses are taken for imbeciles.

These People

Comment These people represent a vile repressive socio-economic system where 3% of the population own 62% of global wealth. The masses own little if anything worth the name though they might think they do. Ten per cent of the U.K population own 90 % of the land, very little is owned by the masses who are condencesed onto 10% of the land. That is where the migrants go and why there is so much conflict in fake diversity Britain.

Two days ago I entertained a male acquaintance who had retired to Thailand before ill health forced his return to the U.K for health care. He told me that the reason people there had such a casual attitude to sex was because they were preoccupied with the struggle to stay alive. He said they ate fried flies and ants. If something is not done to tackle global overpopulation, religious bigotry and liberal vIrtue signallers, then that will become life for the masses everywhere. But tackling those issues would require tackling the global elite.

The western global elite police state financial war mongering system will not allow that to happen. Only the politically correct are allowed to go on protest marches. Under the glow of elite media- with commentary from lecturing hectoring six figure salaried parasitical political pundits – pre approved protestors are there to reinforce elite tyranny. Hence all the international publicity for the pro Palestine and anti Trump marches.

The so called big names in finance are the big problem. Their primary interest is enhancing their already obscene wealth. That is why the NATO tax payer funded proxy war on Russia is so important to them. These people care only for their own power, privilege and security. The armed forces and police are their minions. Remember how a clique of London police officers raged when government ministser Andrew Mitchell called them ‘bl–dy Plebs’ ( or at least they said he did ). Police officers see themeselves as a cut above the masses. There can be no doubt that all hell would break loose without them because western society is run by the elite for the elite.

So, Trump is seen as a class traitor. As a very successful business man unencumbered by an Ivy League education, he has lived by thinking outside the box. He is more imaginative and creative than most billionaires. The system showed how desperate it was to destroy his first term and jail him to block a second. Their pathetic hypocritical efforts to label him a fraud and sex offender were typical of this western elite run system. The EU have done the same to LePen and are lining up to ban the Afd. The same is happening in Romania and Hungary.

The masses are only allowed to vote for pre approved candidates. U.K environmentalists are bleating and even raging about dictator Starmer deferring his carbon net zero goal. These self righteous imbeciles are typical products of the U.K’s appalling brainwashing education system, in which I worked for 18 years. They can’t see the futility and deception of such palliatives so long as deforestation, unbounded air travel and overpopulation with resultant warfare, render the net zero goal absurd and pointless in real terms. Trump knows this. That is why he has authorised devlopment of more coal mines.

Trump deserves to be a billionaire. However, it puzzles his greedy peers as to why he is not standing as one, alongside his financally privileged peers, offering more of the same. In my view, there are men, women and individuals. Trump is one of the latter. I hope he sticks to his bold agenda. He is facing tough opposition, not least from the U.S Democrat elite and politically correct judiciary. They, like his would be assassins, want him out of the way, by fair means or foul. They also want full on war with Russia if they can’t get what they want from their Ukraine proxy.

Focusing on the moment, it is fair to say that reciprocal tarrifs are a more than reasonable response to the U.S trade deficit and toward rebuilding a balanced U.S and world economy. The current situation is geared up for financial fat cats and war mongers. It needs to stop and the rest of the world needs to make adjustments. But mega rich parasites claim their god given right to rule and are not letting go without a fight, even if it means orchestrating World War Three.

Is the US running a $1 trillion deficit with China?published at 17:5617:56

By Gerry Georgieva

During the 15 minutes that President Donald Trump spoke to reporters last night, he claimed that the United States was running a $1tn trade deficit with China.

He’s just announced that he plans to hit Beijing with an extra 50% tariff unless it drops retaliatory levy

We can’t find any evidence for his claim, which he made several times

The US does run a trade deficit with China, meaning that it imports more in goods from that country than it exports to it, but the figure was just over $295bn for 2024, external.

Globally, in 2024, China exported nearly $1tn more goods, external than it imported so it’s possible that Trump may have been mistakenly referring to this figure.

Comment Trump is trying to repair years of U.S ruling elite damage and lies. U.K and its EU lackeys want the U.S for its weapons and defence. The U.K excels in secret policing and propaganda. When Starmer talks of change, he just means getting better at supporting a corrupt system of which he has been and still is so much a apart. When Trump talks of real change, he means it. I hope the United States down trodden black and white masses understand that and stick by him. R J Cook

World leaders and governments have begun reacting to Donald Trump’s sweeping tariffs.

The president imposed a 10% baseline tariff on all imports – but many of America’s biggest trading partners have been hit by a far higher rate.

Speaking at an event he called “Make America Wealthy Again”, Mr Trump criticised foreign “cheaters” and held a chart detailing who would be paying what.

Here is some of the latest reaction.

China, facing a 34% tax, said it would “resolutely” hit back and “take countermeasures to safeguard its own rights and interests”.

“China urges the United States to immediately cancel its unilateral tariff measures and properly resolve differences with its trading partners through equal dialogue,” said the commerce ministry.

European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen said the tariffs would have “dire consequences” for millions of people around the world.

“We [the EU] are already finalising the first package of countermeasures in response to tariffs on steel,” said Von der Leyen.

“We’re now preparing for further countermeasures to protect our interests and our businesses if negotiations fail.”

Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin added: “We see no justification for this.

“More than €4.2bn worth of goods and services are traded between the EU and the US daily… Tariffs drive inflation, hurt people on both sides of the Atlantic, and put jobs at risk”.

Japan‘s trade minister, Yoji Muto, called the tariffs “extremely regrettable” and said all options were open.

Asked if Japan would retaliate to the 24% tariff imposed, he added: “We need to decide what is best for Japan, and most effective, in a careful but bold and speedy manner.”

She had to go. She is the wrong type of woman for western Style Democracies by R.J Cook.

A judge lecturing Le Pen et al on subverting democracy is pot calling the kettle black. Western governments and the EU are institutionally corrupt. It is not only the United States infested with this deep state politics and moral hypocrisy. France and the EU have used the same tactics as the deep state used on Trump.

Macron needs the distraction of war on Russia, as does the U.K. Trump, for all his interest in a mineral deal, knows that there are other causes for concern than manufacturing the Russian threat and war for global elite preferred regime change. He knows that if the Anglo U.S and EU covert war for regime change fails, then World War III becomes the only option.

Given the imbalance of Russian versus NATO ground forces, and NATO already active on the battlefield, Nuclear War will soon be the only option. Russia has to consider the possibility that the Anglo Americans will make the first strike and that ultimately Trump and Vance won’t be able to stop them. Russia has a cold war doctrine which will provoke them into using battlefield nuclear weapons sooner rather than later. It is the greedy western elites, insane kleptocrats and plutocrats who are escalating this war.

I was approaching 13 years old at the time of the Cuban Missile crisis and terrified, like many others of my generation. Then the `1960s started to swing and attitudes became blasé. Two films of the era stick in my mind, namely; ‘How I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb’ and ‘Dr Strangelove.’ Universities were bastions of elite class privilege in those days. So there I met these arrogant LSD and pot addicts who would become my country’s future rulers and media mind makers.

Macron, Starmer and the rest of their ilk need the Ukraine distraction to cover up for their deeply unpopular domestic policies. The EU needs to extend its empire up to and beyond Russia’s borders. To compound it all, the bloated plutocrats of the western banking system needs a fat ongoing return on its Ukraine investment. Europe and U.K consensus politicians also see a quick fix to their economic and immigration problems in never ending warfare, Russia watching and baiting them. The flow of economic African and Islamic migrants is vital to elite needs.

The NATO proxy war on Ukraine has already freed up a lot of space by killing hundreds of thousands of young white men. Muslims and Africans are expected to be more compliant to ruling elite needs. Women, with a few exceptions like Marine Le Pen- who knows where this is going and why- have no thoughts beyond their own safety and what their elites tell them. By and large, as we saw with their flight from Ukraine, most modern western women seek safety, privilege and comfort at any cost. So while men were held captive ready to die for Zelensky’s corrupt regime, their women fled to the pleasure palaces of the perfumed west.

Against this background, Marine Le Pen had to be stopped and shamed by the hypocrisy of western sham democracies. Le Pen’s replacement will be next and then the EU must shame and defeat the Afd by non democratic methods. Democracy is about the right to vote for a small selection of like minded parties and candidates. Le Pen was not going to vote for Macron’s war. She had to go. She is the wrong type of woman for western style corrupt fake democracies.

Le Pen shakes head as judge hands down guilty verdictpublished at 11:0611:06Breaking

French far-right leader Marine Le Pen has been found guilty of embezzling EU funds.

The presidential hopeful and eight other people who were EU lawmakers at the time, along with 12 parliamentary assistants, were found guilty of embezzling funds to fund their French National Rally (RN) party.

“It was established that all these people were actually working for the party, that their (EU) lawmaker had not given them any tasks,” Judge Benedicte de Perthuis told the court.

“The investigations also showed that these were not administrative errors … but embezzlement within the framework of a system put in place to reduce the party’s costs.”

Le Pen, who sat in the front row in court, shook her head as the judge spoke, the Reuters news agency reports.

After a few tense hours we have a definitive verdict and sentence – and it is the worst Marine Le Pen could have hoped for.

She expected to be convicted, but the key question was the sentence. It is a five-year period of ineligibility which is to be carried out straight away.

What this means is Le Pen cannot run in the next 2027 election – barring some legal twist of which I am completely unaware of.

This of course is an earthquake. It has massive implications for her, her party and French democracy.

Some of her opponents said they had hoped she didn’t get this ineligibility – they said she is someone they need to fight at the ballot box, not through the judicial system.

Even arch enemy Jean-Luc Mélenchon thought this possibility of automatic ineligibility was wrong.

But there it is. Le Pen is out of the race and she is a very angry woman – we saw her leaving the courtroom earlier with a granite-like face.

Any Concept Of Russian Independent Media is Absurd – by R. J. Cook

Quite obviously if withdrawing U.S support for so called independent Russian media is threatening their survival, then it is not independent. If Russia were funding any non state backed U.S media, their principals and staff would be sacked, prosecuted and probably jailed.

Closing down RT was a case in point. This is world war with the west claiming the moral high ground. That righteous western world contains the 3% of the global population who own 60% of the world’s wealth and want more. Trump let the cat out of the bag when he made clear that for him and the U.S it is all about a mineral deal. He wants U.S war funding paid back with interest.

The global elite Mafia are having a laugh when they call this system a democracy. World War Two, for the British ruling elite was about their empire and distracting their starving down trodden masses with ‘a common enemy.’ That common enemy then was Germany’s equally down trodden starving masses But the global ruling elite’s real enemy is and always have been communism. They still hate and fear Russia for its 1917 Revolution that was provoked by this class of arrogant hedonistic supercillious morons.

The dynamics of history have not changed and never will, unless Nuclear War wipes us all out. But even in the worst case scenario, there will be plenty of rats ready to creep out of their luxury well stocked bunkers to start it all over again, with more rubbish about their God given right to rule.

Thames Valley & West Mercia Police Fight to label me insane – By R. J Cook (Revised & Corrected March 31st 2025 @ 18.12)

Comment This writer, Francessca Cavello is a proud lesbian. Does that make her an authority on what men are and what they should be? I don’t think so. Feminsism, in the rising tide of broken homes and the workplace, has made men and boys what they are today.

As soon as one man is proven to have committed a crime against a woman or women, the feminist self styled liberal fascist billionaire and state media calls him an example typical of all men. They even include male to female transsexuals in their declamations. That is because modern western women are so helplessly desirarble

So when a Muslim homophobe was recently sentenced to 39 years for killing two Lesbians in a Bournmouth park, it was not treated as racism and outcome of intolerant extreme Islamism because that would be bad for race relations. However, under ruling feminst dogma, it is perfectly acceptable and necessary to use the case as another reason to condemn tame and control working class white men.

When it comes to white men, it is never hate speech to label them all toxic privileged wife beaters and rapists in waiting. So women of Cavallo’s ilk have the automatic right in western fake democracies, to simply assert the feminist version of true dogma wherever their is a chance to name, mame and shame young white men into obdience. No wonder we have societal collapse, with mental health issues for both sexes and are in the foothills of World War III.

Image Caption The problem for western women is that they are so helplessly desireable and need 24/7 protection and whatever new laws it takes to keep them safe and preserve their innocence on the mean streets. Image by F.S.

Image Caption This on the other hand, according to J K Rowling and Trans Exclusionary Feminists (TERFS), is a rapist in disguise and waiting to penetrate women’s safe spaces before penetrating them. This is transsexual Roberta Jane Cook at the outset of her treatment at the London Gender Identity Clinic in 2016, a choice that Thames Valley Police (TVP) did not approve of.

They had hoped that presenting her as a paranoid bi polar schizophrenic rampant wife beating sex offender would assist their prosecution of her for asking for the then Deputy Chief Constable of West Mercia Police, Simon Chesterman be investigated for demonstrable for serious crimes against her.and eldest son They had no evidence for the malicious prosecutions but Roberta did have compelling evdudence to support her allegations. So she was acquitted and the joint Thames Valley and West Mercia Police’s fight for a conviction continued, focusing on discrediting her as a transsexual and gay whore working for her eldest son and his criminal asscoiates and enhancing efforts to label her criminally insane. They even presented fabrocated evidence. However, sick dirty minded cops seized the opportunity to use her transgender situation as fake and simply another manifestation of insanity.

So, to quote one of the psychiatrists called in to label her in June 2022, two years after TVP had chosen to prosecute her for writing about had been done to her, she was asked two interesting and highly significant revealing questions : a) Do you get sexual gratification from wearing women’s clothes? b) Do you feel comfortable wearing women’s clothes ?.

In collusion with chief psyschiatrist Dr Christopher R Ramsay of Aylesbury’s Whiteleaf Centre, TVP set out to present malicious lies of gay prostitution working in a home based brothel for her eldest son and criminal associates. The case, dating back to December 12th 2017, is technically still open to avoid legal action and aid current prosecution. I was actually fully employed as an HGV driver, but Thames Valley Police lies were used as evidence of my alleged and so important bad character. The above picture was taken by Roberta’s then lover, Lucille Jane Fletcher Dean in her Potters Bar bedroom in 2016.

Ramsay and TVP combined forces to back up a corrupt now discredited paranoid schizophrenia delusional bi polar long term violent alcoholic smear with a referral to MAPPA as a violent sex offender. Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) are a set of statutory arrangements to assess and manage the risk posed by certain sexual and violent offenders. Thames Valley and West Mercia Police have been refusing to disclose their ever expanding secret ( lack of ) intelligence files since this vile police corruption began back in October 2008. That was when my soon to be ex brother in law, now a Chief Constable, began his abuse of power, aided by his then West Mercia Chief Constable and close friend fromThames Valley Police days, Paul West, his family et al, and campaign to have me secretly criminalised along with my eldest son – destroying his hopes for the career he had worked so hard for as a barrister..

This weird individual, Simon Chesterman, had a financial interest in my divorce, helping his sister Nicola Jane, to keep my youngest son Edward incarcerated physically and mentally, and to settle old scores regarding my rows with his interferring mother. He et al told criminal lies to corrupt police and court. Through this vile corrupt process, I was being labelled insane. That is vital to the cover up, now into its 18th year.

My vulnerable exploited son Edward’s 37th birthday was yesterday. He was shut away for his last 5 years in the marital home, where his mother daily sexually abused him and I was warned that her brother “would sort me out if” I did not do as I was told. She lied on record that I chased her and my family out of the family home on the night of March 16th 2008. Her brother and his West Mercia Police put this vile defamation in local and national media via Trinity Mirror. Edward has been shut away ever since, his mother and brother who had him sectioned in 2020.

Her brother made sure that this big lie was part of a West Mercia Press Release in 2011 when I was being prosecuted for using the internet to expose West Mercia corruption and refusal to disclose why and how I was victim of their secret PNC Criminal Vehicle Marker and fabricated supporting vile records on October 9th 2008.

Image by Lucille Jane Fletcher 2016

So, I consider Cavallo’s patronising condescending writing on what boys of the future should be,perncious seriously harmful poisonous drivel. Imagine the outcry if any male writer had the balls and career death wish to write stories of what girls of the future should be. But Cavello’s arrogance and presumptious attitude says it all about TERF and Lesbian feminism. It is self righteous, dogmatic, destructive and dangerous.

I learned a lot from researching my extremely serious and worthwhile fact based politcally incorrect novel ‘Man, Maid, Woman’. Then even more from my divorce, being victim of the police and the hopelessness of any biological male being allowed into acceptance as a woman via the sex change process. I have learned how dangerous, opportunistic and intolerant feminism has become.

I have learned that the world of literature is dominated by upper middle class female modern literature graduates and its gate keepers. Cavello’s stories are based on her gender and class prejudice that all women are inherently angels in danger of harm from unreformed males of all ages. Her feminist view of men is psychological, social and /or chemical castration along with boys needing more insidious and potent indoctrination at school and what her kind call ‘uni.’ It reminds me of childhood memoroes of seeing bulls with chains aroud their legs, standing snorting in fields. They were the minority of male cattle allowed to survive the meat machine, for breeding purposes. And, unlike most career journalists, I know what I am talkng about. I worked on a farm from age 12 to 16. My widpwed mother needed the money.

The transformation of popular nomenclature from university to ‘uni’ does more than reflect the imbecilic style of modern language and culture. It denotes however denote how institutions once revered for the pursuit and interchange of knowledge, by students such as myself, who worked to be one of the 3% esteemed populaton with the high qualifications to get in, declined to become the dumbed down mon syllabic ‘uni’.

Here the prerequisite to be one of the now ‘uni’ masses, is a willingness to mind your language, agreeing with politically correct ruling class wisdom. Then tick all the right boxes for multiple choice questions, cherish your laptop, let the internet and google do your research, grammar and spell check. Don’t think too much or you will end up like Boris in ‘Brave New World.’.

It is no surprise that Starmer’s U.K is so popular with Zelensky and his authoritarian Ukraine regime. Evidence is no problem for U.K Police because they are revered and trusted like the Zelensky regime. Evidence can always be fabricated and show trials arranged.

‘Odious, Sad, Little Man:’ All The Insults Starmer’s Cabinet Have Levelled At Trump Over The Years

Kate Nicholson

6 November 2024·5-min read

Keir Starmer and Donald Trump
Keir Starmer and Donald Trump AP

Donald Trump is all but confirmed to be the next US president, and has already announced his own victory.

Keir Starmer was among the first world leaders to congratulate the Republican on his expected second term in office, adding: “I know that the UK-US special relationship will continue to prosper on both sides of the Atlantic for years to come.”

However, there’s no doubt Labour’s relationship with the controversial figure may come with some… baggage.

Not only did Trump’s team accuse Labour of “blatant foreign interference” after some party activists went door-knocking for Kamala Harris, but ministers in the current government have previously used rather colourful language to talk about the US figure (from the safety of the backbenches).

Here’s a look back at some of the most damning criticisms the current cabinet have hurled at Trump over the years – before they were elevated to government ministers in July.

Prime minister Keir Starmer

He may have congratulated him on his “historic” victory this morning, but in 2019 the PM criticised Boris Johnson after Trump, who was then in his first term as US president, endorsed him to be prime minister.

Starmer posted on Twitter: “An endorsement from Donald Trump tells you everything you need to know about what is wrong with Boris Johnson’s politics and why he isn’t fit to be prime minister.”

Foreign secretary David Lammy

Perhaps the most vocal anti-Trump critic out of all the current cabinet members, Lammy refused to say in the summer whether he was wrong to declare Trump a “neo-Nazi-sympathising sociopath” in 2018.

He also criticised Theresa May for inviting the then-president to the UK for a state visit in 2017.

When Trump locked horns with London mayor Sadiq Khan over the trip, Lammy declared the former president “a troll” who is “truly beneath contempt”.

Lammy even compared Trump’s Make America Great Again slogan to a speech from Adolf Hitler about Germany in February 1940, and once said: “If Trump did GCSEs he wouldn’t make it to sixth form.”

In September 2020, the former shadow minister wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “Donald Trump cannot even bring himself to explicitly condemn white supremacists. The whole world will breathe a sigh of relief if this dangerous clown is booted out of office this November.”

Then, in January 2021 when Trump officially left the White House, he added: “Good riddance Donald. The world is relieved to see the back of you.”

Lammy has since U-turned, and joined Starmer on a trip to the US to meet Trump earlier this year. He also claims to have a strong relationship with Trump’s running mate, JD Vance.

Deputy PM Angela Rayner

In 2021, after Joe Biden’s inauguration, Rayner posted on X: “I am so happy to see the back of Donald Trump but even more so to see Kamala Harris as Vice President.”

She had also condemned the riots from January 6, 2021, criticising the former president’s “lies after the election” and describing the “violence Donald Trump has unleashed” as “terrifying”, adding: “The Republicans who stood by him have blood on their hands.”

She said the Tories were “spineless” and “toadying” for not calling out Trump’s “lies”.

Home secretary Yvette Cooper

Discussing Labour’s then infighting over Brexit back in 2017, Cooper said: “It was a referendum that was fought in good faith and nobody said at any time ‘you know what, I am not going to respect the result afterwards’.

“That’s the kind of thing Donald Trump says – and did say before the presidential election – and we were all appalled and horrified that he was saying that about the outcome of a vote.”

She also wrote off Trump’s claim that that rise in the UK crime rate was linked to “radical Islamic terror” was “inflammatory and ignorant”.

She even joined a woman’s march in 2017 to “take a stand against Donald Trump”, saying: “We are marching because the most powerful man in the [US] thinks it’s OK to grab women ‘by the pussy’.”

At least 10 of Starmer's current cabinet have publicly slammed Trump over the years.

Health secretary Wes Streeting

In 2017, then backbencher Streeting wrote: “Trump is such an odious, sad, little man. Imagine being proud to have that as your President.”

Energy secretary Ed Miliband

In 2021, the keen environmentalist said the former administration was “four year of Trump acting as a roadblock to progress”, as Trump had called climate crisis a “green new hoax”.

He also described UK politicians who thought the win would be good for the UK as a “delusional fantasy”, adding: “The idea that we have shared values with a racist, misogynistic self-confessed groper beggars belief.”

He also called Trump an “absolute moron” in 2017, and in 2018 condemned his “his lies, his admiration for dictators” and his “racist attacks”.

Culture secretary Lisa Nandy

While she recently refused to agree with one of Kamala Harris’ description of Trump as a “fascist”, Nandy was not so hesitant to criticise Trump in the past.

She called out the Tories for not condemning the then-president’s premature election victory in 2020.

She said: “To see Dominic Raab, the foreign secretary, refuse to stand up for that principle of democracy was a very dangerous moment for the UK.”

But, she also said that when Trump was in power the first time, the UK should “engage” with Trump to “have the argument” with him rather than stop him from visiting the country altogether.

Welsh secretary Jo Stevens

Stevens said in 2019 that Trump was a “racist, sexist, sharer of extreme ideology, a serial liar and a cheat”.

Scotland secretary Ian Murray

When Trump was ready to leave office in early 2021, he said: “Fourteen days until the worst president in history exits the stage. He leaves with no dignity and a legacy that’s an embarrassment to the world.”

Environment secretary Steve Reed

When Trump was first elected in 2016, Reed wrote on X: “President Trump, a terrifying day for the world and for everyone who values democracy and freedom.

“A candidate who wants to jail his opponent and undermine the validity of the process is no believer in democracy.”

Northern Ireland secretary Hilary Benn

Benn compared Boris Johnson to Trump in 2023 in a speech, saying: “Here are two people who are trying to trash our institutions and our democracy in the process.”

Opportunistic fear mongers, censors and liars. By R. J. Cook

Comment Starmer earned his knighthood as the head of a corrupt Crown Prosecution Service ( CPS) where he doesn’t want to talk about how his lurid lawyers sent record numbers of innocent people to jail under his reign, including Andrew Malkinson and the Sub Postmasters. He claims to know nothing about these vile miscarriages of justice and doesn’t want to talk about it.

Starmer is a smarmer setting the most dreadful example of greed and pleasure seeking with all the freebies he can get while opressing people with rising taxes, more laws, falling living standards, the burden of unending privilelged asylum seekers and a defence spending explosion because he wants to lead Europe into war with Russisa.

His appalling record at the CPS should see him disbarred from all public offices, notably politics and the law. He has played a major role in ruining lives and is far from interested in seeing the corrupt CPS reformed. His enthusiasm for war on Russia, which is basically enthusiasm for World War III, is terrifying and pushing the cost of living up for real non privileged people ever closer to ruin. His vile ‘HARD LABOUR PARTY’ are hyppcrites and fakes. They thrive on defending the myth that all women and ethnics are victims and that all non elite white men.along with any woman who supports them, are insane racists with no point of view worth a look.

Starmer the Smarmer has no shame about his past running the depsicable CPS and volt-face apropos President Donald Trump This shows just how treacherous he can be. He has said that he does not believe in God, but he believes in religion because it brings people together. I spent 21 years employed in public service and 17 years as a senior member of my local council. I have met his mealy-mouthed sort before, many times.

In 1997 I was courted as a prospective parliamentary candidate for one of the major parties but dropped out when they started sending me details of their courses to teach me how to talk to the voters. I believed that principles mattered in a true democracy. I was old enough to know better. But my second newspaper editor, Frank Branston, observed that I had ‘ a soul above money.’ Starmer’s attitude suggests rather the opposite. Why is it that these dreadful ever moralising people always claim the right to massive above inflation pay rises while driving the masses into the dirt ?

Why should they have the right to send young men to the front line of war, to be slaughtered or crippled, for these disgsuting money grabbing lying rich hypocrites whose elite media will never report how Russia was set up and provoked into existential war in Ukraine? NATO acted with intent.

Starmer the Smarmer and his feminsist Hard Labour Governement have the collective pysychopathic manipulative personality that will never admit to being wrong. Therefore it will learn no lessons from history. Starmer like his little friend Macron, talks in cliches about Putin being Hitler and Trump being like the much maligned Neville Chamberlain. They are igorant superficial unprincipled opportunistic fear mongers, censors and liars.

Hong Kong’s richest man is in hot water over his company’s Panama Canal ports deal

By  KANIS LEUNG Updated 9:18 AM GMT, March 20, 2025

HONG KONG (AP) — Hong Kong tycoon Li Ka-shing’s business empire is in the crosshairs after CK Hutchison Holdings chose to sell its Panama Canal port assets to a consortium that includes U.S. investment firm BlackRock Inc., apparently angering Beijing.

Over the past week, Beijing’s Hong Kong affairs offices have posted scathing commentaries from a local state-backed media outlet over the tentative deal by Hutchison, which is controlled by Li’s family.

That raises questions about the deal and highlights the difficulties Hong Kong businesses face as they balance demands from Beijing for national loyalty and their own capitalist interests in the once free-wheeling Asian financial hub. Here’s what to know about the issue.

Hong Kong’s richest tycoon

Nicknamed “Superman,” Li is among the world’s 50 richest people, with Forbes calculating his net worth at $38 billion. Li, 96, retired from his position as chairman of CK Hutchison in 2018, succeeded by his elder son Victor. But he’s still one of Hong Kong’s most influential figures.

Li’s rags-to-riches story paralleled the former British colony’s rise. His business empire touches almost every aspect of daily life in Hong Kong, from properties and supermarkets to telecommunications and utilities. Globally, his conglomerate owns assets including British drugstore chain Superdrug and European mobile phone network operator Three.

France issues its citizens with an invasion guide – including how to survive a nuclear attack – after Macron warned Europe must prepare for war.

Comment The U.K never left the EU where it matters. However, among other things, the present arrangement gives Starmer freedom to assert himself using echoes and delusions from its glorious empire. Macron has a similar mentality. He wants to go down in history and so make what his sort calls the far right, unelectable. Le Pen has long been labelled a Russian agent, like the AFD. They both need a smokescreen and diversion from their appalling social and economic problems.

Germany is like minded and all are afraid of what their elitist policies and cheap labour diversity policies have done to theIr social fabric. These odious war mongers have been winding up Russia for too many years. Trump’s caution has angered them. They want Ukraine, then Russia and then China in their revolting hypocriritical new world order.

They call it democracy. But as the Romanian fiasco demonstrates, the masses can have their votes, but only for elite approved consensus candidates. They won’t let Russia gain from this NATO proxy war. There will be no limit to the carnage and fire they will provoke, smug in the belief that Donald Trump will be forced , by the Deep State and war profiteers, to come to the rescue. They have started World War Three. No survival manual will save the masses or the young men forced into the firestorm, to be mutilated, blinded, crippled and killed.

There will be no shortage of bumptious smug self rougheous women waving white feathers at men who won’t fight. Their omnipresent campaign against male violence stops far short of condemning the carnage of the battlefield. They claim the right to be kept safe. Comparsons with the run up to World War Two are fatuous and disigenuous. The mindset of western leaders and its juncture with East European empowered mainstream political feminists and the likes of Zelensky are truly terrifying.

Image Caption An MI6 agent discusses the cost of subverting Putin’s government with a Russian traitor in 2018. The Bidens among other privileged westerners have made a fortune from Ukraine. in 2018. This war is about their freedom and to hell with the rest of us..

The world has moved on since the days of ‘Creepy Joe Biden.’ Trump knows that the Anglo EU Empire wants and needs Ukraine far more than the United States does. Neither Russia nor the USSR have ever invaded Europe beyond defeating Hitller. Had they such intention or non nuclear capability they would have done so already. But the U.K and European masses are lapping it up. A European army policing Ukraine will take us back beyond square one.

If Starmer’s excuse for his criminally corrupt Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) under his regime was that it was happening outside of his knowledge, then what makes him capable of leading this latest phase of war on Russia ? What qualifies a man whose command of the CPS led to jail and life sentences for innocent persons like Andrew Malkinson, to moralise about bringing freedom and democracy to Ukraine or anywhere else ?. This dreadful man and his acolytes are working hard to humiliate and provoke Vladimir Putin in a war for regime change and extension of their hypocritical planet eating repressive politically correct tyranny.

Starmer, driving the U.K’s biggest rearmament since World War Two, was the head of his country’s corrupt Crown Prosecution Service ( CPS ) which withheld key evidence from the defence to send innocent men, like Andrew Malkinson to jail. He got his mandatory knighthood and sense of his own importance out of it. In the process he empowered corrupt police, placing them above the law, and has no right to make moral judgements about anything or anybody let alone preen and posture on the world stage.

Starmer’s war mongering is already costing his lower order tax payers massively. Now they will see their sons conscripted for what could suddenly be all out World War III. His arrogant diktat to Vladimir Putin is patronising and offensive. Old buffers and military fantasists will see it all as a chance for glorious sacrifice for pretentious Litte Britain. There will always be mass immigration to make up for the decimated indigenous population. Here Little Britain’s major claim to fame is being the financial centre of the western world. That is important because this war is all about power, greed and profit for the privileged few.

Those of us acquainted with history know that Anglo U.S led NATO provoked the current multi million dollar, pound and Euro bloodpath for the lavish life styles and power of those affecting to govern and oppress us in the name of their grotesque freedom. Putin would be an idiot coming to heel for this pompous moralising dictator Starmer. He like Macron, has delusions of grandeur.

Meanwhile the U.K cost of living accelerates to pay for Ukraine’s self inflicted suicidal war, with worst to come. On the home front, Starmer is following in the footsteps of Thatcher and Blair in covering for rising unemployment, massive ethic immigration for cheap compliant labour and a production line of laws to manage the inevitable conflicts and insatiable demands of politically correct diversity.

Starmer is a dangerous man. Comparisons with the 1930s, the rise of Hitler and appeasement are trite simplistic drivel to frighten the masses. These are not the 1930s with the consequences of a punitive peace settlement on Germany. Expansionist EU, with NATO, rules Europe and there is no British Empore, but Africa, Ukraine and Russia’s wealth are up for grabs. This is an age of abundance, high tech and abnormal profits for a minority elite. It is a moot point as to who is expected to be the appeaser here. In my view it is Vladimir Putin who is expected to grovel. By the way, Putin has been forced into a defensive war. NATO has not fought one defensive war in its entire existence.

Russia says it’s in final stage of regaining Kursk territory as US team heads to Moscow for talks

  • The Kremlin says President Putin has been told Russian forces are in the final stage of the operation to drive Ukraine from territory it seized across the border in Kursk
  • Putin made a surprise visit to Kursk on Wednesday – the first since Ukraine’s incursion last August – with Russian media reporting he ordered the military to “fully liberate” the region
  • The head of Ukraine’s military, Oleksandr Syrsky, also indicated that some of its troops were withdrawing from Kursk
  • It comes as US officials are headed to Russia to discuss a potential 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine
  • Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky says the country is “determined” to work “as quickly as possible” with its partners towards peace. Meanwhile, Putin has yet to comment on the offer
  • Fighting continues as both Ukraine and Russia have reported drone attacks overnight

Crimea and eastern Ukraine regions are ‘Russian’, says Peskov published at 09:3709:37

A bit more now from Peskov.

Responding to Zelensky’s comments that Ukraine will not accept the annexation of any territory, Peskov says: “Crimea, Sevastopol, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk and Luhansk are Russian regions.

“They’re in the Russian constitution.”

He adds that it would be “wrong” to discuss possible negotiating positions publicly before talks begin.

“Let’s not forget that they haven’t started,” he says.

‘Across the world and across the U.K

Comment Mr Peskov is correct. It is also true that the arrogant patroninising U.K elite and their lackeys, expert in subverion, propaganda and other insidious rechniques, were leaders in provoking and sustaining this planet eating war. It makes a mockery of their moralising leadership of the absurd drive to net zero. Fallout from the Ukraine War has had massive negative impact on climate change.

The tentacles of the U.K elite’s new form BBC broadcasting ‘across the world and across the U.K‘ makes them ever more dangerous. They only left the EU to avoid the threat of EU financal regulation on the City of London and to exert more direct influence on the United States. Ninety percent of the U.K is owned by 10% of the population. Ninety percent of this tiny islnand’s population live on 10% of the land. The migrants, legal and illegal keep comining, growing alongside a growing underclass where poverty exceeds that of the Edwardian era.

To contain the inevitable conflict and social unrest, as we saw with Stockport, arrogant leaders like Starmer create more oppressive laws to control and direct speech and extend the public space into peoples homes , assuming they have one, as increasing numbers live on the street, in jail or in lunatic asylums.

Politcians of Starmer’s ilk, know that there is no better way of distracting the masses than by relishing the opportunites of war. Thatcher reinvented that strategy, with bells on, when she brazenly started the Falklands War in 1982, thus diverting attention from her evil economic policies and their social consequences. To get re elected, so called Labour became Thatcherite New Labour and then New New Labour, trading Labour.

Significantly Starmer. has still made no apology for what the corrupt target driven Crown Prosecution did to Andrew Malkinson et al under his leadership. He is a very ambitious man who expressed a right to a freebie exclusive box, where he could watch his favourite football team, affecting his global image as ‘a person of the people.’

A message from the U.K Dictatorship – R.J Cook.

Starmer: Russia must agree to ceasefire published at 19:5619:56

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer

Reaction is continuing to pour in, with UK PM Keir Starmer the latest to “warmly welcome” the news coming out of Saudi Arabia this evening.

“This is an important moment for peace in Ukraine and we now all need to redouble our efforts to get to a lasting and secure peace as soon as possible,” Starmer says in a statement.

He repeats a phrase used by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio: “The ball is now in the Russian court”.

He adds: “Russia must now agree to a ceasefire and an end to the fighting too.”

“We are ready to help bring an end to this war in a just and permanent way that allows Ukraine to enjoy its freedom,” Starmer says – announcing that he’ll convene leaders this weekend to discuss “next steps”.

Comment Starmer was a danger to justice as head of his country’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). He is now a danger to the U.K masses and wider world as he struts the world stage. He has taken on Johnson’s role as European rabble rouser for World War Three.

His very presence on the world stage will have alarmed Vladimir Putin as much as he he alarms me. As I have said, democracy is just a word. His and Macron’s sort think in very fixed olld fashioned patronising terms in a time warp. Here the only concept necessary is to compare all enemies to Adolph Hitler. I don’t believe the pompous overrated morons in charge of western politics realise that we are very close to Nuclear War. Intelligent people should ask 1) Why should Russia accept the proposed peace deal? 2) What will happen of they don’t ? R J Cook

Russia is winning so U.S panders to EU and U.K with the following trap. If Putin says no, he will be labelled a war criminal – R J Cook

Ukraine says it is ready to accept 30-day ceasefire, as US says ‘ball now in Russia’s court’

Comment The U.S needs this ceasefire as much as Ukraine. The DOW has dropped over 1000 points and the nation is mirred in $36 trillion debt and rising. Ukraine and its CIA friends have been working for war ever since the Minsk Agreement which Ukraine violated. They are a treachorous and corrupt neighbours. The EU and U.K cannot wait to embrace these strange bedfellows. Ukraine’s agreement with the U.S has been made on the basis that there is a lot in it for them, especially their westernised feminist rulinng elite who look forward to ever more lavish and ego gratifying lifestyles at their ignorant masses expense. R.J Cook

Elite Times

Comment All the U.S and EU enthusiasm for a minerals deal with Zelensky and corrupt Ukraine needs treating with caution. Once established, whatever the security gurantees, the reality will trap the United States into protecting war mongering Zelensky’s dictatorship and EU, plus U.K, Imperialist associates.

U.K and France are shouting very loudly, with Starmer and Macron meeting again today and tomorrow, for the EU Imperialist ambitions.

I can’t help wondering when Russia will see no alternative to sending hyper sonic missiles, nuclear or not, to Kiev and beyond. Meanwhile, the BBC is broadcasting their version of truth “across Britain and the Umited States”.

Far-right supporters of the candidate claim decision is undemocratic and Elon Musk describes his ban as ‘crazy’

Comment Elon Musk needs to understand that democracy is just a word. Years ago I watched a child’s TV programme called ‘Twizzle’. He lived in ‘Topsy Turvey Land’ and drove a brealdown truck. In ‘Topsy Turvey Land’, everything was upside down.

How ‘far wrong’ is Calin Georgescu, and his demonised allegedly ‘far right’ supporters for not wanting their country caught in the cross fire of what is really an EU Imperialist war on Russia and its culture. Their lunatic ego maniac Ukrainian Zelensky proxy seems determined on a World Nuclear War. Sleek Von Der Leyen is right behind him.

” Oh what a lovely war.”

First there was Tesla-Scham, German for the embarrassment of owning one of Elon Musk’s electric vehicles. Now a backlash is brewing against his satellite-internet system Starlink.

The billionaire’s abrasive interventions into politics and his outsized role in shaping US policy in his capacity as senior adviser to President Donald Trump is having a real-life impact on his businesses, prompting governments from Italy to Poland to reconsider their dependence on his technology.

Musk’s endorsement of the nationalist, anti-immigration Alternative for Germany party saw a collapse in Tesla sales in the country where they are made just outside Berlin.

In spite of her friendship with Musk, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is getting cold feet about a potential Starlink deal given how the US is pulling away from its commitment to European security.

Poland is not the only US ally feeling queasy after President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s berating in the Oval Office. Warsaw pays for Ukraine’s Starlink terminals, and was offended by Musk’s weekend comments that the “entire front line would collapse” if his network was switched off. Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski suggested an alternative supplier might be necessary.

The spat on Musk’s X platform escalated.

Musk went further, saying separately that the US should exit the NATO military alliance. These kind of comments force the hand of many European leaders. One unintended consequence is that it threatens to accelerate an arms race, with Poland the latest country to signal it may want nuclear weapons.

Can Trump rein in the world’s richest man, and his biggest political donor? To what extent is Musk freelancing, and how much control does Trump even have over him?

A reported Cabinet showdown over Musk’s influence hints at the tensions within the administration.

The question is at what point Musk’s usefulness to Trump tips over into liability — and vice versa. —  Flavia Krause-Jackson

My father died as a result of an accident- he was an ex soldier and truck driver- when I was 11. It could be said that I grew up in poverty, but I did not see it like that. As a schoolboy, I had my interests, hobbies and bicycle, worked on a farm, delivered news papers, did a lot of training for my sport, painting, and music. I also made model aeroplanes and was in the Air Training Corps, where we had the opportunity to fly an aeroplane. I had wanted to be a pilot, but university made me anti war. At the University of East Anglia-which I also represented in cross country and athletics- I studied economics, economic history, philosophy and sociology. Over the years, I have worked in a variety of manual, office and driving jobs. My first job after univerity was with the Inland Revenue in Havant, near Portsmouth. I left Hampshire to work for the Nitrate Corporation of Chile, then lecturing, teaching and journalism - then back to driving. I play and teach various styles of guitar and used to be a regular folk club performer. I quit that after being violently assaulted in Milton Keynes pub, after singing a song I wrote about how cop got away with killing Ian Tomlinson at G7, in broad daylight and caught on camera. The police took no action, saying taht my assailant had a good job. The pub in question was, and probably still is, popular with off duty police officers.
